Vipan was born at the southern point of Assembly District 20 at Washington Hospital, and he’s lived the entirety of his life in Union City, CA. Vipan is a proud product of the New Haven Unified School system; he studied his way through Pioneer Elementary School to Alvarado Middle School, and finally graduated from James Logan High School. Vipan furthered his studies in Accounting and Finance at Chabot Community College, and California State University - East Bay.
Vipan's professional career encompasses experience as an accountant at a public utilities company, and as an auditor and consultant working for two public accounting firms. During this time, he’s had the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele; having served private, public, and non-profit institutions.
Vipan has also dedicated time to local community initiatives throughout his academic and professional careers. A great deal of this work has seen him passionately support and prepare students from underrepresented backgrounds, so that they can cultivate the skills needed to successfully join the professional workforce.
Like most citizens, Vipan's frustrations and disagreements with our current elected officials motivated him to seek public office. With a lifelong of lived experience in the district -and a technical and unique professional background - Vipan is fully committed and ready to serve as your representative and bring a fresh perspective to Sacramento.
I believe our politics can be better. When we put people above special interests, when we listen to the community and work for them, that is how we can and will see change.
